Terroir
Mezőzombor – Galambos Vineyard
The soil is predominantly brown forest soil with patches of loess. The subsoil consists of rhyolite, almost entirely covered by rhyolite tuff.
Tarcal – Terézia Vineyard
Here, the soil is an optimal blend of loess and brown forest soil. While the subsoil is similar to that of the Galambos vineyard, it rests on a perlite cone.
Vineyard
The vineyards were replanted between 1999 and 2010 using modern viticultural practices, with row spacing of 1.8 m and 2 m, and 0.8 m between vines. Spur pruning with two buds is applied, and yields are limited to 1.5 kg per vine. All vineyards have been cultivated organically since 2009.
Vintage
After many years, the winter brought a truly continental January, with temperatures frequently dropping below –10 °C, while precipitation remained very low. Spring temperatures rose slowly, and May was still cooler than average. Rainfall in September proved favourable for the development of botrytis, with noble rot appearing early on the grape bunches. The overall quality of the grapes was outstanding.
Harvest
The harvest of exceptional Aszú berries took place during October and November. The berries were picked individually by hand.
Technology
The Aszú berries were collected in 700-litre floating-lid tanks, cooled in the tank room and separated according to harvest cycles. They were then crushed, transferred with a screw pump and left to macerate for 24 hours in the press together with fermenting base wine. During pressing, the press fractions were separated, with the finest fractions fermented in new 300-litre oak barrels and matured for 2.5 years. During blending, the winemaker selected only the best barrels, with a strong focus on complexity.

Wine Description
The wine displays a vivid yellow colour. The nose is characterised by dried apricot and citrus notes, complemented by aromas of oak and spice. On the palate, flavours of dried apricot and citrus fruits such as tangerine return, alongside exotic notes of raisins, figs and dates. The wine is remarkably complex, creamy and full-bodied, with a long finish. Despite its relatively young age, it already offers great drinking pleasure, while its richness and depth are expected to increase further with ageing.
