This organically certified Grüner Veltliner from Burgenland shows remarkable freshness and clarity. Aromas of green apple, quince and meadow herbs are lifted by a touch of spice. On the palate it is vibrant and mineral-driven, with structure and balance that reflect the limestone soils of the Leitha Mountains with clay and sand deposits.
The grapes underwent a short skin contact of 2–3 hours before fermentation — one third in concrete egg, two thirds in stainless steel. Four months of ageing on fine lees added elegance and subtle creaminess without masking the pure fruit expression. Awarded 93 points by A la Carte and 90 points by Falstaff.
Food pairing: Excellent with asparagus, seafood or a traditional “Brettljause”. As a vegan option, it pairs beautifully with grilled green asparagus with lemon and olive oil.
