Cseri Winery proudly presents its premium selection of spontaneously fermented wine, made from handpicked Rhine Riesling grapes. The golden yellow and slightly shriveled berries are carefully harvested in mid-October and pressed as whole clusters to preserve their unique aromas. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation in small barrels, followed by 24 months of aging on fine lees, resulting in a complex and well-balanced profile.
This wine appears in a beautiful straw yellow. It is characterized by pronounced Riesling aromas with floral notes and a hint of white-fleshed peach. On the palate, the wine surprises with a fruity taste that remains despite barrel aging, combined with distinct and firm minerality, creating a harmonious balance.
The vines grow on sandy loess soil, covered to varying degrees with sandstones, sandbanks, and a thin layer of forest humus. The late harvest takes place at the end of October from three vineyards: Győrújbarát Báródomb, the highest point of the Győrszemere Gesztesi Vineyard, and the upper part of the Tényő Öreg-hegy. The vines are 10-14 years old, originating from self-planted Mosel clones. Each year, they take a big risk by leaving the best grapes in the best premium sites on the vines until the end of October to produce this exceptional wine.
This Rhine Riesling pairs especially well with Italian dishes, flavorful fish, red meat, and grilled dishes.
