Just 20 kilometres from Pécs, the capital of Southern Transdanubia, lies the Mühl family's lavender farm in Magyarszék. Building on a centuries-old tradition in winemaking, the family realised a new dream in 2021: a lavender plantation was created on a plot of land that had lain fallow for decades.

Since then, the landscape transforms into a purple sea of blossoms every June, creating a truly special atmosphere. During the flowering season, the family invites visitors to "pick your own". Guests can harvest their own lavender while enjoying the scent, the beauty and the tranquillity of the blooming field.

Lavender plays an important role beyond the field as well: the plants, grown without chemical pesticides, are used to make lavender essential oil, syrup and a wide range of handmade products. These are available both at the lavender farm and in selected partner shops.

For the Mühl family, the lavender farm is more than just a new crop. It represents the continuation of a long family tradition – a place where the values of the past meet a new, fragrant and purple future.
