Tufa Siller 2022

A substantial, volcanic siller from the tufa craters of the Tihany Peninsula.

A rich terroir siller, for which we harvested the blue grapes at a ripeness similar to that of our red wines.

We processed the grapes similarly to the way we handle the raw material for our single-vineyard whites. After a gentle destemming, we soaked the slightly crushed grapes with the must for a few hours. Following a short press program, the must was cooled and settled, then fermented in tanks. After more than half a year of aging on lees, it was bottled.

The result is a mineral, feather-light siller/red wine that, in style, resembles our single-vineyard white wines more than a rosé.
